Engineer II

The Role

You will quadruple ABK Labs' GTM and customer-driven features by forming strategic relationships with partners, building experimental products to test GTM hypotheses, and creating AI-centric tools that multiply output for colleagues and partners. You will work across Corbits, Faremeter, and the x402 protocol -- shipping features end-to-end, responding to partner needs, and building MVPs that generate real user signal on product-market fit.

What You Will Do

• Respond to partner and customer needs within 24 hours with meaningful diagnostics and proposed solutions, owning 2-3 active integration relationships per quarter across x402, Faremeter, and Corbits
• Own and ship 2-3 product features end-to-end per quarter -- from rough product direction to deployed, publicly shipped code with minimal hand-holding
• Build and ship 2+ experimental product surfaces or MVPs to test GTM hypotheses, developing functional prototypes in under 2 weeks that are good enough to demo publicly and collect real user signal
• Translate customer conversations into product signal -- surface recurring pain points as structured Linear issues and product/engineering recommendations
• Write tests for critical user paths, provide substantive code review within 24 hours, and identify and fix recurring sources of engineering friction monthly
• Build internal tools, scripts, and workflows that use AI to reduce toil for yourself and the team

Who You Are

• You ship fast and default to something small over planning the perfect solution. You are comfortable with "good enough for now" when the goal is learning, not perfection
• You take features from rough direction to production independently -- scoping, implementing, testing, and shipping medium-complexity work without hand-holding
• You write clean, composable code that external developers can read and build on, following internal coding standards
• You proactively flag scope risks, technical constraints, or simpler alternatives within the first day of picking up a feature -- before building, not after
• You translate partner conversations into product signal -- when you see a pattern across 2+ partners hitting the same wall, you write it up with a proposed solution
• You write clearly and articulately without being overly verbose, maintaining this standard across Slack, Linear, email, and code review
• You solicit feedback, react calmly to criticism, and reach out to peers to establish collaborative working relationships
• You use AI tools as a daily force multiplier and continuously find new ways to leverage them to compress timelines and expand output
• (Bonus) You have experience building developer-facing products or SDKs
• (Bonus) You have worked in crypto, payments, or AI agent infrastructure before

Salary and Benefits

Base salary: USD $150,000-$190,000
